Sometimes, our dogs get to eat something bad without their knowing it especially when it is dirty and came from the garbage. Or, the dog might be allergic to the food (yes, they have allergies too). When this is the case, the dog might get diarrhea. As the owner, we don’t want it to happen. Not only is it hard to clean the mess, also the dog feels pain all over.

The best thing to do is take care of it immediately lest it becomes worse. Know what the dog ate, and if it is something poisonous, take it to a vet. Make sure that the dog is taking enough liquid to get him sustained and not be dehydrated.

If the food eaten is not poisonous, you don’t need to go to a vet. Give the dog a 1 day fast to clear out its diarrhea. After that, give him a plain diet every four hours to keep him full. If the situation doesn’t improve, take it to a vet.

There are some serious kinds of diarrhea, and if it happens, bring it to a specialist. Bloody stools, always tired, and no appetite are some symptoms of diseases. Be a responsible owner and do what’s right.
